The Big Date!

I got the call yesterday that I've been waiting for! The nurse at the doc's office has scheduled me for a c-section on August 28th!

I'm a little worried about not making it all the way to my due date, but my doc doesn't seem too concerned. If I do go into labor before then, we'll just have an emergency delivery instead.

I have been having quite a few "practice" contractions, and some of them hurt! I'm hoping that doesn't mean I won't make it all the way to the end... I love being pregnant and feeling the little guy moving in my tummy, but I'm so ready to see him and hold him. I never have been a patient person!

I'll be delivering at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. I'm supposed to be there at 7:30am, and it shouldn't be long after that we're holding our baby in our arms! Visitors will definitely be welcome, but I can't guarantee that I'll be with it for the first day or so. After a c-section they tend to give very nice and effective pain medications!
